Amazon has just announced a new prime feature – Amazon Prime Wardrobe. This is a new service for the fashion enthusiast to try the clothing, shoes or jewellery before buying.
Amazon wants to make online fashion shopping experience as close to as retail stores. So, with this new service they are allowing customer to select 3 or more items, which will be shipped free of cost to them.
They can try the items and keep which they like to purchase.
Once customer receive the package, they will have 7 days to try and finalise what they want to buy.
There will be a pre-paid return label, which can be used to return the items you don’t want to buy. Just pack the items and leave it on the front door to be picked up.
Customers will only pay for the items they have kept. Amazon is also offering a discount if you are keeping more than 3 items. If you purchase 3-5 items, you will get a 10% discount and purchase of 5 or more items will get 20% discount.
Not all items are included in the service. You can look for the Prime Wardrobe logo while browsing the catalog. Though Amazon claims that millions of products are included as part of the service, so hopefully you will find what you are looking for.
Currently the service is launched in Beta with the wider rollout plan for next month end. You can subscribe for the launch notification.
