We have reached that time of the year when every tech enthusiast wait for the newest iPhone launch. Apple just had one of the biggest event of the year where they launch iPhone 13 along with many new device.
The entire world was waiting for the new iPhone 13 impatiently. Many rumors have been trolling here and there when it comes to the design or camera structure of the new iPhone 13 line-up. But nothing was sure till we hear the official words from Apple.
On this note, let’s see what Apple has announced on its iPhone 13 event. Apple not only announced the latest iteration of iPhone’s but also the newest iPad, iPad mini, Apple Watch along with the iPhone.
iPad & iPad mini
The first device which Apple has announced in the event is the new entry level iPad along with iPad mini. iPad is more of an iterative upgrade with the newer A13 processor, upgraded 12MP front camera with center stage, faster LTE chips.

iPad mini is the one getting a major update with new design followed in the line of iPad Air and Pro lineup. Due to the new edge-to-edge front design with thin bezels the screen size is increased to 8.3 inch.
The iPad mini also get the powerful A15 Bionic chip, same as iPhone 13 which can make it one if the fast iPads in the market. You also get lots of additional updates including 5G connectivity, Apple Pencil Support, new colors, WiFi 6 support etc.

With these new updates only iPad Air is the model which have old FaceTime camera. All the other models now use the new 12MP ultra wide lens with center stage to provide better calling experience.
The new iPad mini makes it one of the most easy to carry and gives it enough power to play games or do productive works on the move. It will be available to order from 1st October.

Apple Watch 7
Apple Watch 7 is the next device launched by Apple with the lot of new software updates in watchOS 8 and Fitness+. The major change is the new thinner bezels on the front which adds extra screen space on the front panel.
There is not much changed in terms of processor in the Apple Watch 7 and its still uses the same processor from Apple Watch 6. The major change is on the front screen design, faster charger and IP6X certification for dust resistance.
The new screen for Apple Watch 7 is 20% larger which adds a space for displaying full keyboard while typing on the watch. Apple also added 5 new colors to the Apple Watch lineup – Red, Blue, Green, Starlight and Midnight.
The new screen is following the edge-to-edge design. The screen sizes will be 41mm and 45mm but they will be compatible with the Series 6 bands. So if you have bands from your earlier watch, you can still use them with Apple Watch Series 7.
There is no clarity on the availability on the watch. Apple just mentioned that it will be available later this year which might be an indication of production delays due to changes in design and chip shortages.
Like everytime Apple is also launching a new Apple Bands along with Apple Watch 7. The Watch will replace the Apple Watch 6 in pricing structure and will start at $399. Apple Watch Series 3 and SE will also be available to buy at $199 and $279.

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini
This is where we talk about the biggest launch of the year. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini brings the new chip, colors, and improved battery performance from iPhone 12.
As expected Apple is launching a new processor A15 Bionic with 6 Cores (2 Performance Core and 4 efficiency core), 4 Core GPU and 16 Core Neural Engine. The processor is shared between iPad mini, and iPhone 13 Pro series. Though iPhone Pro series gets an extra core for GPU to handle the graphics better than iPhone 13.
The iPhone 13 and 13 mini is available in 5 new colors – Red, Blue, Pink, Starlight and Midnight. Apple has also increased the starting storage for the iPhone and it will be starting from 128GB with iPhone 13. You can get the phone in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options.
The major improvement is in camera module which supports a new Cinematic Mode for recording video with auto focus and shallow depth of field. It also means that you can easily change focus in after you have taken your video and create movie kind of transitions right from your iPhone.
The front notch has become around 20% smaller but still there is no change in the status bar design. You still can’t put the battery percentage on the status bar. Though Apple doesn’t announce RAM sizes for the iPhones but looks like there is no change in the RAM sizes. iPhone 13 and 13 mini comes with 4GB RAM installed with A15 Bionic.
The iPhone 13 series also support Dual eSIM so if you want to use eSIM for both of your line, you can use it. Till iPhone 12 eSIM was limited to one line only. So now you can decide to use eSIM for both the line or one nano-SIM and one eSIM for the dual lines.
The iPhone 13 series will be available to preorder from 17th September and will start selling in store from 24th September.

iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max
iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max also announced in this event and it will come with ProMotion display. ProMotion display will have adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. The dynamic refresh rate of the screen will be based on the content shown on the screen or the user actions. So the refresh rate can be as low as 10Hz too as high as 120Hz.
This is first time the display is supporting the ProMotion. The another first in the Pro lineup is 1TB version. Though it will also be one of the most expensive iPhone you can buy from the market. iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB version will be costing around $1599.
iPhone 13 Pro series also uses the A15 Bionic chip and comes with 6GB RAM. The A15 Bionic has one extra GPU core to work with the Pro features. So instead of 4-core GPU, you will get 5-core GPU. The 6-core CPU comes with 2 performance core and 4 efficiency cores.
The triple camera setup is improved and comes with Cinematic mode video recording. ProRes video recording up to 4K at 30fps will be coming later in fall to iPhone 13 series.
Another important update will be in iPhone battery life. iPhone 13 Pro will give you extra 1.5 hours of battery life where iPhone 13 Pro Max will provide 2.5 hours of extra battery life. This is due to the combination of A15 power optimization and dynamic refresh rate of the display.
Other iPhone 13 line up updates like support for dual eSIM, smaller notch is also present. You can buy the iPhone Pro series in Graphite, Gold, Silver and Sierra Blue. Beautiful stainless steel design with textured matte glass back gives it a premium feel and Ceramic front shield provide robustness to the phone.
Like iPhone 13, you can start to preorder the iPhone 13 Pro series from 17th September and it will be available from 24th September.
