It is an undeniable fact that Star Wars: Episode IX must deal with a lot of elevated expectations. The movie will complete the saga of the Skywalker family that has been going on for almost 41 years.
Everything about them, their friends, their fights against the evil empire have left fans in awe. But, everything will come to an end with the December 2019 release of Star Wars: Episode IX.
The film will have familiar faces from the last two episodes including Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Mark Hamill. The movie is also expected to have the unseen and unreleased footage of Carrie Fisher from The Force Awakens. With every development going around the movie, rumors and fan theories are also swirling on the internet.
One of them includes how the story of Leia will be taken forward after the unfortunate passing of Carrie Fisher. Well, this is just one, but there are a lot of fascinating and interesting theories that have made me write this article.
So, let us jump on the craziest fan theories that make sense and there are high chances that these fan theories might come true.
Return of Han Solo
We cannot argue with the fact that every Star Wars fan was left devastated when Han Solo was ended by his own son, Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens. But, some of the fans still believe that Han may not be gone forever. The studio has also used this to introduce Solo: A Star Wars Story for the Han Solo fans which depict the events in his life prior to joining The Rebellion.
Well, to prove this, fans say that when Han felt into the depths of Starkiller Base, he was transported through time. This is possible because Starkiller Base was running on some kind of dark matter.

Rey Will Create a Double-Sided Lightsaber
We know that Rey’s iconic lightsaber was broken into two in The Last Jedi and she will need a new one for Episode IX. And, we are also aware of the fact that she has scared Jedi texts that have information on how to build a lightsaber.
So, some fans believe that she will create a double-sided lightsaber for herself. She will do this with the help of broken pieces of her lightsaber and kyber crystal.

Kylo Ren vs. Rey: One final battle
During The Force Awakens, fans were able to see that Kylo Ren and Rey are enemies. They had one of the most epic lightsaber battles in the franchise. In the fight, we saw Rey almost defeating Kylo if the base would have survived.
Then, in The Last Jedi, fans saw a change and both parties reaching some kind of agreement. Kylo was seen saving Rey and she chose Resistance.
Some fans speculate that the upcoming episode will certainly end with their battle once more. Well, I am not so convinced with this theory, but this is Star Wars franchise and anything could happen.

General Hux: The main antagonist
I don’t need to stress on the fact that General Hux aka Armitage Hux and Kylo Ren feel contempt for each other. We know that after Snoke’s demise, Kylo made himself the Supreme Leader of the First Order.
But, that may change if Hux does something unpredictable. Fans are speculating that General Hux will perform a coup to banish Kylo from the power.
Well, he can do this because he has the evidence that Kylo ended Snoke’s life. This will not only make Hux powerful but also the primary enemy of the Resistance.
A New Jedi Master
If you have watched The Force Awakens carefully, then you might know that Rey was able to figure out that she has special abilities by the end of the film. But, she doesn’t know why she has them and about their origin.
Even during The Last Jedi, she spent most of the time in figuring out her connection with Kylo and relationship to the Force. But, we are aware of the fact that she hasn’t given up on Jedi.
With her knowledge, she may seek out force sensitive people to join Resistance. This will not only make her the most senior Jedi, but also new Jedi Master.

Leia Will Pass The Baton
The demise of Carrie Fisher has certainly impacted the franchise and fans are still not over it. The future of Leia is something that has been on their minds since she was still leading the Resistance by the end of The Last Jedi.
The announcement has been made that Carrie Fisher will reprise the role in Episode IX with the help of unreleased footages and it looks like she will be urging Poe to lead the Resistance.
This makes sense as their relationship was perfectly fine in The Last Jedi.
Snoke Is Not Done Yet?
It is an undeniable fact that no one has returned after getting cut down in half from a lightsaber. But, we are talking about Snoke here.
And, it looks like he might make a return because some fans are speculating that he is a Sith Lord. This makes sense as there has been no revelation about Snoke’s origin in the franchise.
I am not sure about this theory and we know that no one comes back after dying from a lightsaber. Only time will tell if this happens.
Well, all these theories are pretty fascinating and it looks like some of them might come true. But, we have to wait till December 2019 until the Star Wars: Episode IX hits the theatres.

Nice catch. Though he has returned in the animation series, but his presence in Solo – A star wars story has made it official in the movie lineup. That also goes in the same line of Sith Lord theory that they can even survive a lightsaber.
