Saving Private Ryan
Again, one of the masterpieces, this movie was directed by Steven Spielberg and was released in 1998. Private Ryan played by Matt Damon gets stuck behind enemy lines during the Normandy Landings and all his brothers get killed. The movie shows how Captain Miller played by Tom Hanks leads a group of US soldiers across enemy lines to retrieve Private Ryan.
The movie gives a strong and poignant message of brotherhood that exists between soldiers but also makes you realize that during war times concepts like honor and duty can put you in jeopardy of losing your life for something you may not believe in.
